Marc is a serial corporate entrepreneur, responsible for vision and products that enable digital transformation of businesses around the world, through Innovation, Data Monetization, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies. Prior to his current role at SAP, Marc was IBM Watson’s Chief Business Strategist, where he oversaw the new offerings portfolio for the Watson platform during IBM’s formative years of Artificial Intelligence. Marc is active in the startup community as an angel investor, mentor, and board member and has been an active participant of the World Government Summit’s Global Governance of AI Roundtable since its conception in 2018.

Prof. dr. ir. Bram Vanderborght has a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Since October 2009, he has been a professor at the VUB, where he teaches mechatronics and a robotics project. Besides, he coordinates the EU FET SHERO on self-healing soft robotics at Marie Curie ITN SMART. Bram’s research interests include cognitive and physical human-robot interaction, robot-assisted therapy, humanoids, and rehabilitation robotics with the core technology of using variable impedance actuators.

Marco’s specialization is applying data analytics to engineering and manufacturing processes for Altair’s Industry-leading clients. Throughout his career at Altair, he pioneered in using data-driven methodologies to improve product development processes. Since 2015 he lectures statistics to Automotive Master students at the University of Applied Sciences FH-Joanneum in Graz, Austria. Marco holds a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in Aerospace Engineering.
