The third year of Viva Technology, the event which brings together major groups and start-ups around all innovation issues. Digital Wallonia will be there on the first collective stand organised by AWEX.
The Viva Technology show is jointly organised by Publicis Groupe and the Groupe Les Echos. This international event, dedicated to growing start-ups, digital transformation and innovation, will be held from 24 to 26 May this year at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.
The first two days of the show are reserved for businesses, and the third day (Saturday 26 May) is open to the general public.
An even more international third year
Several international stakeholders (BNP Paribas, Google, Orange, Engie, Airbus, SAP, etc.) will host more than 1,000 start-ups in their open innovation labs to speed up their digital transformation and give growth opportunities.
This year will see the incorporation of new sectors: automotive, insurance, consumer electronics, cyber security and sports tech. Numerous highlights and talks are planned on the programme.
VivaTech 2018 in a few figures:
- 1,000 exhibiting start-ups;
- 23 sectoral labs;
- 100 thematic challenges, more than 4,000 applications of which 55% are international start-ups;
- 8 conference cycles spread over 4 stages for 150 sessions with 300 participants expected;
- Africa@tech: 1 dedicated lab, 100 of the most promising start-ups from Africa;
- 1 Viva Tour, 24 stops in the main capitals of innovation.
The VivaTech show is therefore the ideal place to present innovative Walloon products and services, to place Belgium on the world innovation map and to find out about the latest technological trends.
At Vivatech, the Paris Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) is organising a morning (on 24 May from 08:30 to 13:00) of pre-programmed meetings between SMEs and scientific laboratories specialising in artificial intelligence applied to Smart Cities or Smart Mobility.
