Launched in 2021, this call for projects is an extension of the "Industrie du Futur 2021" call and targets circular economy components in Industry 4.0. Its aim is to launch a green and economic dynamic among Walloon industry players through structuring projects. It lies at the crossroads of the Industrie du Futur and Digital Wallonia 4 Circular programs of Wallonia's digital strategy. One project has been selected: CE4.0SMEs.

The project

The CE4.0SMEs project aims to support Walloon companies in their appropriation of the concepts of circular economy and industry 4.0.

The proposed objective is to focus initially on increasing the skills and maturity of companies with regard to the circular economy, so that they can implement one or even more strategies internally, including at value chain level, and then promote Industry 4.0 as a way of putting these strategies into action.

Actions implemented

Sirris, in collaboration with its partners the Pôle Mecatech et Agoria offer:

  • support for companies that are not yet sufficiently familiar with the concepts, by providing them with a range of digital tools to help them better understand the circular economy, as well as to enable them to self-assess and even implement measures or rapid improvements;
  • support for companies wishing to get started, but wondering where to begin:
    either individually, to define their circular strategy(ies) adapted to their structure (based on the elements already present and their level of maturity) or collectively, to help them identify/collect/exploit the information needed to set up circular value chains;
  • assistance for companies wishing to carry out their first circular actions, through technological assessments and training of I4.0 experts in the circular economy;
  • promoting links between the circular economy and Industry 4.0.

Durée

The project started in July 2022 and will be completed by June 2024 at the latest.
